I don't recommend the lifestyle, but Count Dracula certainly had the longevity thing going for him. I've come up with a better beverage than the Count's, which will promote health and give you a little energy kick to start your day. I call it Chad's Blended Dracuiri©!
The signature red of the Dracuiri© comes from organic red beets and gets a kick from black and cayenne pepper, but there are also tons of other goodies in this elixir to give your body a boost.
I start with 2-3 kale leaves in the Cuisinart along with a small chopped carrot and 1/2 of a large beet, sliced. Add 1 cup of almond milk for base liquid, along with a mini bottle of Yakult for probiotics and a touch of sweetness. Next comes two tablespoons of nonfat greek yogurt for smoothness and protein and a scoop of bone broth collagen protein for extra measure. I top it off with five turns of the black pepper grinder plus two shakes of cayenne pepper and two shakes of ground turmeric for a brain boost. I throw it all in the Cuisinart with the sharp chopper blade and push "on." When the ingredients are reduced to a liquid, I add a few ice cubes to cool it down. You can also add water to adjust the thickness and a teaspoon of organic honey if you like it sweeter. Beets are also naturally sweet.
If you like a less gruesome look, use golden beets and you'll get a lovely green drink. Here's what it looks like with the golden beets before and after.
Special thanks to my friends at Rivendale Farms for the awesome fresh organic veggies. Give Chad's Blended Dracuiri a try and let me know what you think. P.S. I've never tried it, but you might add a shot of rum for those times when you want to combine health with a party night.
